Philosophy of Care
Our Story
Premier Health Plus is an autonomous Nurse Practitioner owned and managed primary care provider for adults of all ages. Our Primary Care Practice includes physical and mental health promotion, assessment, evaluation, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, inclusive of behavioral and mental health conditions.
Advanced practice registered nurses who are registered pursuant to Section 464.0123, F. S., shall engage in autonomous practice only in a manner than meets the General Standard of Practice. The General Standard of Practice, care, skill, and treatment which, in light of all relevant surrounding circumstances, is recognized as acceptable and appropriate by reasonably prudent similarly situated health care professionals.
The Goal
It is our goal at Premier Health Plus to provide each patient with individualized, patient centered care in a relaxed appointment where you are part of the decision making, given the information, in every day language, for you to make decisions regarding your healthcare with your provider.
The ability for you to ask questions, and have them answered is a priority. It is essential that you, the patient, participate in your care so that you feel like you own the path and end goals.
Our Vision
We focus on preventive health measures so that we don’t have to concentrate on “putting out fires” and crisis with health matters. If you need a higher level of care (a subspecialist like Pulmonologist, Cardiologist, etc.) we like referring for consultation to make sure all treatment is appropriate and you feel comfortable with your path toward your health and wellness.
Acute and chronic illnesses are approached alongside you and your family (if you wish) with benchmarks for health goals set by you and the provider. YOU are the center of the care at Premier Health Plus, not the provider nor the bookkeeper.

The Team
The practice is also administered by an APRN (retired) that practiced primary care and hospitalist care for over 35 years. His philosophy echoes ours. We strictly comply with HIPPA (Healthcare Insurance Privacy and Portability Act) regulations as well as Federal and State laws.
