I am a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.  I received my Master's degree in Family Nurse Practice from Frontier University, at Hyden, Kentucky, in March of 2016.  I have been involved in the healthcare field since 1991 when I started as a certified nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility.  Soon after, I received my Associate's degree as a registered nurse in 1992.  As a registered nurse, I worked in the Emergency room, medical-surgical unit, surgical department, care management, and hospice.  My passion for nursing and providing quality, caring health care to others has always guided me through the years.

I have been working full-time as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in a bustling rural primary care practice in Western New York state since my graduation in 2016.  I would say I have a passion for treating and helping patients understand their own health and improve their overall health and quality of life.  Throughout my many years in healthcare, I have developed a vast understanding of the health care system and, therefore, the ability to help my patients get the services and care they need and deserve.  I have experience in all aspects of primary care.  Listening to your concerns is of the highest priority for me.

I was born and raised in Western New York State. I grew up in a very rural town that borders the Northern Pennsylvania border—living and working on a family dairy farm with my parents and my six siblings.  Hobbies include almost any outside activities such as hiking, running, or anything that involves working with my hands, such as gardening and landscaping.   Staying in contact and spending time with family is always a high priority.  My husband and I moved to Southwest Florida after more than ten years of frequenting this area (Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte).  We fell in love with the people and Florida life.  We are delighted to call Southwest Florida now our permanent home.

My goal is to make you feel confident and comfortable with the care that I can provide you today and in the future.  With my many years of experience, I will give you my very best professional effort to ensure that you get the healthcare and respect you deserve to achieve your best overall personal health.  We, as a team, can do great things.
